A portion of the volume has a second skin, covering the space of the bedroom. This second skin is an aluminium foil, a shining blanket with the purpose of guaranteeing a proper thermal insulation during the sunny hours of the day. This aluminium part is partially removable, according to the necessities. Furthermore the room has special ventilating slots and a mosquito net that protects the futon. Making a cross section of the floor of the room we have a blue vinyl sheet, the concrete bricks, the several layers of plastic film. The whole system guarantees a proper thermal insulation for the humidity from the earth. The facility of the house is provided by electricity and tap water, a plug-in system that relies to the kindness of our neighbours. All the different parts of the house (walls, roofs, cabling, details) were done using materials coming from common department stores.
